I am One in a Million!

Okay my Crochet Necklace Video has hit one million views!

Karla Kam has hit over one million views, I really can’t figure this out, really!

I remember when they decided that we were going to do these videos…I said, oh no, I am not doing that! Well how many years and hairstyles later, we are still filming! I have been through a few changes, hair styles, photographers, four I think…projects and tools galore! And just when I think I am tapped out, you the consumer will bring me back with a new technique you want to see or design! I have taught myself so many things to do these videos that I don’t remember them all!

I was perusing the videos on YouTube and found some good ones and few that I didn’t know I did! Oh well the memory isn’t what I used to be!

I have to say that this is really weird, I actually got goosebumps when I was told we hit one million hits, on one video! I have had a few “star” sightings in the normal beading venues, Tucson, Bead and Button Show and others but the best was when I was having a celebratory breakfast with family at a local restaurant and that is when it happened. A lovely lady said, I know you…okay…my brain is trying to process where I knew her from, when she declared I was Karla from Karla Kam! I just about died! Another happened when my sister was reading a beading blog and saw one of my video’s posted. She wrote the blogger telling her she was my sister. The blogger actually said Oh the famous Karla Kam!

But honestly if you all knew how I struggled in the beginning getting the nerve to do these. I do have a bit of anxiety when doing them now, but find it easier to be myself! You all have allowed me to do this, because the feed back is positive, for the most part. I do find it amazing that people will post negative comments about my physical appearance, nails, new hair style etc. but really, I do this because you all want to see it! The NAILS are mine and are not going away!

So here is to another one million views! Keep the ideas and comments coming, I really do like to hear what you think and do appreciate constructive criticism, after all I don’t know it all, yet!

Thanks for being a fan!
