Hi everyone at Aunties’ Beads!

I am a relatively new beader and only started on this about a year ago. I have already purchased items more than five times, and every single time, the items are duly delivered. The items are easy to find and there is truly a rich resource of projects, advice and videos unlike other on-line jewelry supply stores.

I have gained so much from just viewing the videos. At first, I did not think my creations were that good. However, so many people have been complimenting on my jewelry when I wear them. I was so inspired that I am currently making jewelry for a fellow church member who is raising funds for mission work to Africa. That way, she is blessed with finances and the people who buy the jewelry will be able to enjoy them.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I am indeed an ardent fan!

Hello Karla,

I am so glad that I found Aunties Beads, cause when I did, I found some of the best video tutorials ever on the Karla Kam!!! You do such a wonderful job, and the videos are so easy to follow. I have learned so much from your informative videos. Great Job!!!
One question, I recently went to a local craft store and found instructions on how to make a necklace using a button for a pendant. Only I found it a bit challenging since I am more of a visual learner. I was wondering if you can put together a video teaching others and myself how to make a bail for a button to be used as a pendant.
If you can, that would would be awsome!!!

To be honest with you, I haven’t worked with Nymo that much because I know it is a little more high maintenance and has a reputation for fraying just a bit. I think if you use the 6 lb. Fireline, you will be thrilled!
And–if anyone else has some great advice/tips/tricks for working with Nymo, please share!

Great info! Wish you had also differentiated nylon thread (Nymo). I think Fireline turns on itself more so than Nymo but maybe it’s because I’ve been weaving with 3# test Fireline or Nymo D; I REALLY hate the fraying of Nymo despite the use of bees wax or Thread Heaven. I’m going to try the 6# Fireline to see the difference! Any other suggestions to deal with the horrible fraying of Nymo

Don’t panic yet! You might just want to tell your customers not to swim or bathe in them. Soaking them in water for a prolonged period of time will get the glaze out but a drop of water here or there shouldn’t hurt.

Hi – as Diamond Glaze and DG Gel are water based, does this mean that I should put a warning on my finished pendants telling customers not to get them wet? If this is the case then I may be in trouble soon! Eek!!
